The themes for Framed Futures are live! Choose one of the four headlines below as the spark for your 2-minute short film. You have 72 hours to bring your vision of Switzerland in 30 years to life.
Whether you choose to shoot traditionally or push creative boundaries with AI tools is entirely up to you. For those looking to explore AI for the first time, we have put together a few resources to get you started:
To create images, videos, and audio, platforms like Midjourney, Krea.ai, Higgsfield, Leonardo.ai, RunwayML, Elevenlabs or Suno are at your disposal—a comprehensive overview can be found in our tool directory.
To get started, you will also find a general guide here, as well as initial introductions to Midjourney and Higgsfield.
We will send you the link for the video upload via email on Sunday evening (March 22). The final submission deadline is Monday, March 23, at 8:00 PM—after which the jury will begin the review process.
Together, they will review your short films. The focus is not on technical brilliance but on storytelling. Don’t just be flashy.

Registration for the 72-Hour Filmmaking Sprint is now closed. Everyone who registered by the deadline will receive detailed information about the event and the schedule via email.
After the topic is announced on March 20 at 8:00 PM, participants will have time until March 23to submit their films. The award ceremony will take place on April 2 as part of the GenAI Zurich Festivals .
